Shots fired in area of 11th and D streets
Police were called to 11th and D streets at 3:24 a.m. Thursday after gun shots were heard in the area. Officers arrived one minute after the call and discovered a parked vehicle had been shot three times with a 20-gauge shotgun, said Lincoln Police Capt. Dennis Duckworth.

Sentencings set in home invasion robbery
Two Lincoln men will be sentenced in January for a June home invasion robbery. Joshua Samsula, 19, pleaded guilty and Justin Hinds, 18, pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of attempted robbery in the June 24 incident at an apartment near 19th and Garfield streets.
